Become a Flight Instructor

Mountain View Aviation offers the training necessary to become a flight instructor, the most common way for low-time pilots to build hours

Certified Flight Instructor

Flight instruction is one of the most rewarding achievements in aviation. It offers a great way to give back to the aviation community while potentially helping build the necessary time for the ATP rating.

 

Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Hold a commercial pilot certificate

  • Hold an instrument rating

  • Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language

  • Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate

  • Have logged at least 250 hours and the required training for the CFI rating per FAA regulations

  • Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test

Instrument Instructor

Adding the instrument instructor to your CFI ticket will enhance your ability to teach and train all the students you will work with. It also makes your flying skills sharper!!
